    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Azimuthal Equidistant Map of the Earth shows points on the map which are at proportionately correct distances from the center point, with all points on the map at the correct azimuth (direction) from the center point. This polar projection shows all meridians (lines of longitude) as straight, with distances from the pole represented correctly.

The large print format of this map makes it perfect for any classroom or display with large print for easy reading. The June and December Solstice charts show and explain the sun's position in it's respective months at noon. The Descriptive Key will explain how to calculate longitude and time as well as the altitude of the sun using the arms, dial, and A/B points.

PLEASE NOTE:  The dial arms are not movable but are printed on to the map surface; the arms are rendered on the map for demonstrative purposes and to display how the arms may have appeared on the original Gleason's map.

OPTIONS:  Also available without Dial Arms and Descriptive Key
